Loan Processor
Location: Remote (MUST reside in FL)
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Compensation: $995 per closed loan file
• Availability required Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time
• This is an independent contractor (1099) position and is not eligible for employee benefits.
ROLE IMPACT
As a Loan Processor, you will play a critical role in moving mortgage loans efficiently from application to closing. Success in this position requires strong knowledge of mortgage guidelines, income calculation, and loan documentation while maintaining proactive communication with borrowers, Loan Officers, underwriters, and settlement partners. High-performing processors anticipate potential issues early, recommend solutions, and keep every file on track to meet closing deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review loan documentation, analyze borrower income, and ensure files meet applicable lending guidelines.
• Manage loan timelines, monitor critical dates, and maintain organized, compliant loan files throughout the process.
• Communicate proactively with borrowers, Loan Officers, underwriters, title companies, and other stakeholders to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding conditions.
• Identify potential underwriting concerns early and collaborate with the Loan Officer to develop solutions that support successful loan approval and closing.
• Ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and delivered on time to support an efficient closing experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Active Florida NMLS license required.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage income calculations, loan guidelines, and residential mortgage processing.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively manage multiple loan files simultaneously.

• Loan Origination Systems (LOS)
• Mortgage underwriting and agency guidelines
• Digital loan documentation and document management platforms
• Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Email, phone, and collaboration tools
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Ability to identify potential underwriting issues before submission and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience managing high-volume pipelines while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Strong customer service skills with confidence communicating by phone with borrowers, partners, and internal teams.
