Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Processor to join our Lending Services team. This position supports the daily operations of the loan department by assisting members, processing loan-related documentation, maintaining loan files, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping. The Loan Processor works under the general supervision of the Loan Manager while ensuring compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as a professional and courteous representative of the credit union by providing exceptional service to members and maintaining confidentiality.
Answer loan department phone calls, provide general information regarding loan products, rates, and terms, and route calls appropriately.
Greet members and prospective members seeking loan services and assist with the loan application process.
Review member information for accuracy and determine appropriate loan product options.
Collect and prepare required loan documentation and refer members to Loan Officers when necessary.
Maintain loan files through filing, scanning, organizing, and preparing new loan records.
Obtain and process vehicle valuations using NADA or other approved valuation resources.
Process loan payoffs, release liens, and prepare and mail paid-off vehicle titles.
Maintain insurance files for secured loans and ensure required documentation is current.
Prepare, process, and mail loan-related forms and correspondence.
Participate in all required compliance and regulatory training, including annual BSA training.
Maintain current knowledge of credit union loan products, services, policies, and procedures.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in loan processing, lending operations, banking, or a credit union environment preferred.
Working knowledge of consumer lending products, rates, terms, and conditions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and lending software systems.
Experience with loan documentation, title work, insurance tracking, and related lending processes preferred.
Strong computer and data entry skills.
