Your Role as a Mortgage Processor


As a Mortgage Processor, you will work closely with our loan officers, clients, and internal processing team to ensure mortgage files move smoothly and efficiently from application to closing.


You will be responsible for reviewing documentation, managing loan conditions, communicating with all necessary parties, and ensuring each file is complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable guidelines. This position may include both traditional mortgage and reverse mortgage/HECM files.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage mortgage loan files from application through closing, ensuring files remain organized, complete, and compliant. 
  • Gather, review, and verify borrower, credit, income, asset, identification, and property documentation. 
  • Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, title companies, appraisers, insurance agents, and third parties to collect information and resolve outstanding items. 
  • Monitor loan pipelines, track deadlines, update file notes, and help keep loans moving toward timely closings. 
  • Assist with traditional and reverse mortgage/HECM files, ensuring applicable requirements are met. 
  • Identify potential file issues early while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company and regulatory standards. 
What We’re Looking For


  • Prior mortgage processing experience preferred. 
  • Experience with conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, or reverse mortgage/HECM files is a plus. 
  • Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, loan conditions, and loan process flow. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with loan officers, processors, and support staff. 
  • Familiarity with loan processing software and mortgage technology platforms is preferred.
