SUMMARY:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Loan Servicing Specialist I to support post-closing mortgage service. The ideal candidate brings an understanding of escrow administration, loan payoffs, and secondary market compliance requirements. This role balances technical accuracy with member-focused service and requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving loan-related issues.

This candidate can be located in Tallahassee, FL or Lake Mary,FL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  

    Responsible for reviewing and follow up of post-closing loan documents which may also include system updates regarding payment options and lien perfection

  • Responsible for mortgage loan payment processing to include partial payments, principal curtailments, recast payments, draw modification, loan payoffs and mortgage satisfactions.

  • Responsible for notification to borrowers regarding ARM adjustments, rate changes and perform routine audit of rate changes.

  • Responsible for escrow administration to ensure adequate insurance coverage is in force at all times. Performs annual aggregate escrow analysis. Responsible for annual payment of real estate taxes and insurance premiums.

  • Responsible for document preparations for assumption, partial releases, subordination and balloon resets.

  • Answers member inquiries with a focus on service, responds to member requests and performs mortgage loan verifications.

  • Intermediate technical skills and proficient with virtual meeting platforms.

  • Other duties as assigned.

           

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 

  • one to three years’ related experience and/or training in mortgage lending; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Any applicable system or program knowledge: 

  • Proficiency in credit union systems including windows and Microsoft Office Software: experience with those core banking applications (Symitar/Epysis, Synapsys, Meridian Link, OpenClose, etc.) highly desired.

  • Sitting for long periods at a time.
  • Regularly required to talk or listen.
  • Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to see clearly at close range and to adjust focus as needed for tasks.
