GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for performing a variety of duties
relating to the loan servicing function; coordinating work
within the department as well as throughout other units and
other departments; reporting pertinent information to the
immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries and requests
from customers, other bank personnel, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

a. Types a variety of routine letters, reports, forms,
and specialized mortgage papers, and proves all accounts.
b. Answers the telephone, responds to routine calls,
mail, and maintains files as required.
c. Lists, balances, and credits transactions as required.
d. Pays all real estate taxes, hazard insurance, private
mortgage insurance, and life insurance in a timely
manner for all escrowed mortgage accounts. Pulls
escrow report monthly and sends letter out when
taxes are due to be paid.
e. Inputs new loan accounts and mortgages (double
checked), changes and corrections as needed for all
branches. Puts files together and calls for
missing documents. Books loans, mortgages, HELOC's
and converts construction mortgages.
f. Verification and inquiries.
g. Assist in taking mortgage applications during
balloon process prepare necessary documentation and
disclosures following all operating policies. After
all documentation is received, modification begins.
Update computer to new term and mail documents for
recording.
h. Files information and maintains loan files ensuring
that documentation is current, complete and sufficient.
Maintains all information in order to generate reports.
i. Researches any payment, escrow, or other problems and
corrects all errors, does daily non post.
j. Processes advances on open ended lines of credit
with proper authorization.
k. Produces customer payoffs and prepares tickets for
payoffs, also for REIT payoffs.
l. Safekeeping of the loan department vault.

Position Requirements
Education/Training: A high school degree or equivalent,
preferred A.S. or degree in related field; specialized
lending education and training.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills;
proficient mathematics skills; moderate interpersonal
relations and communicative skills. Knowledge of mortgage
and consumer lending regulations. Computer skills, typing,
report writing & analytical
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience
normally required.
