The Lobby Barista is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. We proudly serve Starbucks Coffee for our guests, and as a Barista, youll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth transactions and excellent customer service. Youll handle payments, craft beverages, assist customers, and maintain an organized checkout area.

Job Duties

  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and maintain a safe environment.
  • Keep bar area clean in accordance with the companys guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department.
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
  • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service by taking food and drink orders efficiently, delivering food and drink items in a timely manner and with a smile.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment, such as the espresso machine. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
  • Provide legible communication
  • Compute basic arithmetic
  • Willing to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks
  • Ability to think clearly, can remain calm, and solve problems using good judgment
  • Ability to follow specific directions thoroughly
  • Desire to understand guests service needs
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

  • Lift and/or carry up to50 pounds
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
