About the Position
TransForce is seeking a CDL A Flatbed Driver to support local operations based in Lafayette, IN. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
Pay & Schedule Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6 am - 5 pm, home daily, occasional Saturday if needed
- Pay: $29/hr ($1,600 weekly)
Job Details
- Route Type: Local, shipping loads daily from Lafayette, IN to Millersburg, IN. Occasional overnight trip for an Illinois route.
- Equipment: Flatbed, manual transmission
- Handling: Chaining, strapping, and tarping experience required, but tarping is only required in inclement weather
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment on local routes
- Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Perform required handling tasks, including chaining, strapping, and tarping as needed
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Meet the physical demands of the role
Minimum Requirements
- License: CDL A
- Experience: 4+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Equipment Experience: Flatbed experience required
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
