Schedule, Routes & Equipment:

• Local CDL-A Drivers:
• Full-time, 4 day schedule with 3 days off
• Saturday and Sunday availability is required
• Dispatch times generally range from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Routes average approximately 11–13 hours per shift and include 14–18 delivery stops
• Local, solo routes with drivers returning home daily and no layovers
• Drivers operate 36 to 53 foot refrigerated trailers equipped with liftgates
• Work includes outdoor exposure and time in cooler and freezer environments
• This position is represented by Teamsters Local 117
• Hostlers:
• Full-time, 4 day, 10-hour schedule (Sunday through Wednesday) with 3 days off
• Shifts begin at 6:00 AM
• On-site role at our transportation yard and distribution facility, with no over-the-road driving
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs

Position Responsibilities:

• Local CDL-A Drivers:
• Safely operate 36- to 53-foot refrigerated tractor-trailers on local, multi-stop delivery routes
• Complete approximately 14–18 customer stops per route while remaining home daily with no layovers
• Unload 100% touch freight using an electric pallet jack and liftgate
• Frequently lift, carry, and handle cases weighing between 5 and 75 pounds
• Deliver products accurately and on time while verifying quantities and completing required delivery documentation
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, dispatchers, warehouse associates, and supervisors
• Safely enter and exit the tractor repeatedly and complete deliveries in varying weather, cooler, and freezer conditions
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and comply with company safety standards and federal transportation regulations
• Hostlers:
• Safely operate yard tractors, switchers, and other commercial equipment throughout the facility
• Move and position trailers for loading, unloading, and dispatch operations
• Coordinate trailer locations with warehouse and transportation teams
• Verify departure schedules and confirm proper tractor and trailer assignments
• Monitor and inspect refrigerated trailer temperatures
• Fuel tractors and refrigeration units as needed
• Clean, wash, and prepare returning trailers for warehouse loading
• Conduct routine safety inspections, report equipment concerns, and follow all DOT, company safety, and yard operating procedures

Requirements:

• Valid class A CDL
• Current DOT Medical Card
• 1+ year of tractor-trailer driving and delivery experience
• Ability to lift 5–75+ lbs., stay active throughout the shift, and work in multi-temperature environments (coolers/freezers)
• Strong communication and clear customer service skills with dispatch, store teams, and fellow drivers
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
• Ability to complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT logs, and meet all compliance requirements
