Local CDL Driver – Dump Truck / Cable Roll-Off (Class A or B)

Drewry Site Development is hiring a dependable Class A or Class B CDL Driver to support our construction and site-development operations in Volusia County and surrounding areas.

This is a full-time, local driving position with varied responsibilities. Primary duties include hauling construction materials in a dump truck and delivering, exchanging, and removing dumpsters with a cable roll-off truck. Qualified drivers may also transport small construction equipment, attachments, and jobsite supplies using a company transport truck and trailer.

What You’ll Do

• Operate dump trucks to haul dirt, rock, construction debris, and other materials.
• Hook, load, transport, place, exchange, and remove dumpsters using a cable roll-off truck.
• Deliver materials and equipment to active construction sites.
• When properly licensed and qualified, transport skid steers, mini skid steers, attachments, and supplies with a company truck and trailer.
• Safely secure and tarp all loads before transport.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical, maintenance, or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate load tickets, disposal receipts, inspection records, and other required documentation.
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, customers, and jobsite personnel.
• Safely maneuver trucks and dumpsters through construction sites, disposal facilities, and tight residential or commercial locations.
• Keep assigned trucks and equipment clean and in good operating condition.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Experience operating commercial trucks in construction or a related industry is preferred.
• Dump truck or cable roll-off experience is strongly preferred.
• Class A CDL and equipment-hauling experience are preferred for drivers who will operate the transport truck and trailer.
• Knowledge of load securement, weight limits, and safe hauling procedures.
• Ability to work safely around active construction sites and changing ground conditions.
• Dependable attendance, clear communication, and a safety-first attitude.
• Ability to climb into and out of trucks, connect roll-off cables, operate tarps, and handle securement equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must meet applicable DOT and FMCSA employment requirements.
