Local Class A CDL Driver

The Local Class A CDL Driver will operate single semi-trailers on local, short-distance routes with daily returns. This role involves occasional loading and unloading of cargo and focuses on maintaining punctuality, safety, and superior customer service within a local environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate single semi-trailer vehicles safely and efficiently
• Navigate local routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
• Occasionally assist with loading and unloading cargo
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
• Plan routes to optimize time management and fuel efficiency
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
• Report accidents or incidents promptly according to company policy

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial truck driving experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Strong skills in route navigation and vehicle inspection
• Experience with logbook management and adherence to safety regulations
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations
