Job Title: Class A CDL Local Yard Hostler - Home Daily (2nd Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL driver for a local, home-daily Yard Hostler position based in the Kansas City area. This is a full-time, W2 role offering stable hourly pay, predictable second-shift hours, and excellent benefits. Pay & Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
- Weekly Earnings: Average $1,200+ weekly pay
- Classification: Full-time, W2 position
Schedule & Home Time
- Home Time: Home daily (Local operation)
- Shift: 2nd Shift
- Base Hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Flexibility: Some longer days or Saturdays may be required based on customer and volume needs.
Job Details
- Role: Dedicated yard hostler responsible for moving and spotting trailers efficiently within the yard facility.
- Environment: Fast-paced, local operations focused on supporting fleet fluid movement and safety compliance.

Minimum Requirements
- License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Experience: Must have at least 6 months of verifiable Class A CDL tractor-trailer or hostling experience within the last 3 years.
- Location: Must reside within 40 miles of Kansas City.
- Safety & Background: Must meet standard Department of Transportation (DOT) safety, background, and drug/alcohol screening requirements. Accidents, moving violations, and criminal history are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
