CDL Class A/B Vac Truck Operator – Akron, OH
Pay: $30–$40/hr + Overtime
We are seeking an experienced CDL Class A or B Vac Truck Operator to join our team in Akron, OH. This position involves operating automatic vacuum trucks and performing industrial cleaning, hydro-excavation, and waste transportation services at various job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain automatic vacuum trucks and related equipment
- Perform hydro-excavation, tank cleaning, line flushing, and industrial cleaning services
- Load, transport, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials including liquids, sludge, and solids
- Operate vacuum hoses and pumping systems
- Transport materials to approved disposal and treatment facilities
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A or B license
- Air Brake endorsement required
- Tanker endorsement required
- Vac Truck experience required
- Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience
- Automatic transmission experience preferred
- Strong safety awareness and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and industrial environments
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Travel to multiple job sites throughout the area
- Overtime and weekends as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Ability to work around heavy equipment, noise, and industrial materials
- Comfortable working in confined spaces
