About the Role
Express Employment is placing Local Commercial Delivery Drivers with several reputable local companies. These are home-nightly routes serving nearby customers.
A Day in the Driver’s Seat
Picture your shift: you start by reviewing the day’s route plan and delivery specifics. You load product securely, confirm you’ve got adequate fuel, and roll out. Along the way, you stay in touch with your manager and clients about any traffic or timing changes, keep deliveries on schedule, and wrap up by completing and submitting all required paperwork.
What You’ll Do
- Verify delivery details, timelines, and priorities before departure.
- Collect, load, and secure stock for transport.
- Monitor fuel levels and refuel proactively to avoid delays.
- Communicate potential delays to clients and your Manager promptly.
- Deliver product on or before deadlines with a customer-first mindset.
- Complete, store, and submit delivery documentation accurately.
What You Bring
- CDL with proper endorsement or a Class E endorsement (required).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable commercial driving rules and regulations.
