Local Content Creator (& Multimedia Journalist)

We’re looking for confident, self-sufficient storytellers, reporters, journalists, creators, and media personalities who can help us create fast-moving local content every day.

Whether you come from broadcast television, digital media, journalism, TikTok, YouTube, or UGC-style content creation, we want people who know how to capture attention, tell real stories, and create engaging content quickly.

This is not a traditional influencer role.
We’re building a network of modern local media personalities who can operate like a one-person digital newsroom, shooting, reporting, editing, and publishing content directly from the field.

The Role

  • Serve as an on-camera personality and local market storyteller.
  • Create fast, social-first content around storms, outages, weather, homeowner experiences, local events, and community stories.
  • Operate as your own one-person production crew using an iPhone, tripod, microphone, drone, or lightweight production setup.
  • Capture, edit, and deliver content quickly for social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Create content that feels authentic, conversational, engaging, and native to social media.
  • Deliver both short-form UGC-style videos and local news-style reporting packages.

What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable speaking directly to camera
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Able to work quickly and independently in the field
  • Comfortable interviewing people
  • Can shoot and edit content independently
  • Understand TikTok/Reels/social media culture
  • Can create attention-grabbing hooks quickly
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving environments
  • Dependable transportation and local market familiarity

Bonus If You Have

  • Broadcast journalism experience
  • Previous TV/media experience
  • A strong TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube presence
  • UGC/content creator experience
  • Drone experience
  • Short-form editing skills
  • Experience creating social-first storytelling content
