**Join Our Team as a Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech!** **Job Description:** - Are you passionate about making a difference in patients' lives? - We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to assist physicians in performing crucial invasive cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including temporary and permanent pacemaker placements. - In this dynamic role, you will help with circulatory support devices like IABP and Impella, while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare and organize specific equipment and sterile trays for each procedure. - Assist the procedure room team with patient positioning and monitoring setup. - Calibrate and test transducers for accurate pressure readings. - Support physicians throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures. - Load and operate power injectors and related sterile support equipment. - Maneuver table controls for physicians as needed; fluoroscopy maneuvering is exclusive to RTs. - Calibrate hemodynamic monitoring equipment and analyze hemodynamic data. - Calculate and record cardiac output and oximetry readings. - Maintain and operate digital cine technologies, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of patient images and hemodynamic records. - Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, and hemostatic closure devices, ensuring hemostasis at the access site. - Manage inventory control and prepare necessary equipment for procedures. - Adhere to clinical cardiovascular information systems' requirements. - Ensure safe operation of equipment and return supplies as necessary. - Participate in on-call responsibilities as per organizational policies. - Apply radial access banding while maintaining hemostasis. - Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias. - Assist in the maintenance and calibration of diagnostic and technical equipment. - Lift a minimum of 40 lbs and stand for extended periods. - Provide compassionate care tailored to the needs of various patient populations. - Follow radiation safety standards in accordance with organizational policies. - Promote a professional environment aligned with our core values of Collaboration, Courage, Compassion, and Creativity. **Skills and Qualifications:** - Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedures in an acute care hospital. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Completion of a CVT accredited program or two (2) years in another cardiac vascular laboratory. - Familiarity with computers, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile operative techniques. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite. **Education:** - Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technologist program, radiologic technologist program, or applied science program. - Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a health science field. **Certifications:** - AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 3 months of employment. - Completion of RCIS exam or Radiologic Technologist License within one year of hire. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
