CT Scan Technologist: Join the Future of Imaging! Job Description: - Are you ready to take your career to the next level as a CT Scan Technologist? - Embrace the opportunity to perform advanced computer tomography procedures and produce stunning sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. - Assist with interventional and therapeutic procedures and become an integral part of our dynamic team! Key Responsibilities: - Perform complex CT procedures with proficiency and accuracy. - Utilize your professional judgment to review and obtain patient clinical histories. - Prepare and screen contrast questionnaires, ensuring accuracy for each patient. - Identify and administer contrast media as prescribed, always prioritizing patient safety. - Verify and communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians regarding prescriptions. - Confirm insurance authorization for exams and coordinate with Finance for re-verification as needed. - Schedule and obtain outside studies to provide comprehensive patient care. - Evaluate imaging using PACS systems to ensure diagnostic value. - Collect relevant medical information to tailor protocols for scanning. - Prepare patients for scanning, including shielding and immobilization procedures. - Deliver clear and compassionate explanations to patients, addressing their concerns. - Monitor patient conditions throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort. - Maintain professional standards and uphold the values of our healthcare community. Essential Skills and Experience: - Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with radiological positioning. - Familiarity with CT software and hardware. - Proficiency in PACS systems. - Committed to maintaining CEU credits for ongoing learning. - Required ARRT (CT) certification obtained within twelve months of hire. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire. Preferred Qualifications: - Six months of CT experience preferred. - Knowledge of Epic and HIS/RIS systems is a plus. Education Requirements: - Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. - High School diploma or equivalent required. Certifications and Licensure: - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required. - BLS Certification required.
