Local Registered Nurse MSICU | $60 hourly pay | 36 hours/week

Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly
Orientation Pay: Please note that the pay schedule is bi-weekly and during the orientation, you will be paid 50% of your pay rate.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) to join the MSICU team. Candidates with a strong critical care background are encouraged to apply. Open-heart experience is preferred but not required; appropriate assignments can be provided based on the nurse’s experience.

Key Responsibilities
✓ Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the MSICU.
✓ Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in condition.
✓ Manage complex patients requiring intensive monitoring and interventions.
✓ Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
✓ Respond promptly to changes in patient status and emergency situations.
✓ Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
✓ Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
✓ Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.

Qualifications/Initial Requirement
✓ Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or eligible compact license.
✓ Strong critical care/ICU experience required.
✓ Open-heart/cardiac ICU experience preferred but not required.
✓ BLS certification required.
✓ ACLS certification required.
✓ Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and assessment skills.
✓ Ability to manage critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
