Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Intensive Care (ICU) for a contract-to-hire opportunity at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. The RN will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting, coordinate interdisciplinary care, supervise support staff, and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Requirements:

• BSN required
• 3–5 years of ICU experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
• Experience with:
  • CRRT machine operation
  • Ventilator management
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Gastrostomy tubes
  • Medication titration
  • Arterial (A-line) monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive ICU patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor critically ill patients.
• Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise LPNs, nursing assistants, and ancillary staff.
• Document patient progress and ensure timely reassessments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
