**Exciting Opportunity for RN in Surgical Oncology Unit!** **Job Description:** - Position/Specialty: RN MS/Oncology - Surgical Oncology Unit - Shifts: NIGHTS - Days of the Week: Various days of the week - Experience Required: 2 years of acute care nursing - First-Timers Accepted: Yes, must have teaching hospital experience for first travel assignment - Weekend Requirement: Yes, as per unit needs - Certifications Required: - AHA BLS - CO or Compact RN license - On-Call Requirement: No - Floating Requirement: Yes, may float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units - Total Staffed Beds: 36 - Charting System: Epic - Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:6 (may flex up based on staffing and unit needs) - Scrub Color: Navy **Special Requirements:** - Prior teaching hospital experience required - Familiarity with surgical oncology procedures - Majority of procedures and diagnoses relate to the abdomen or pelvic area (Gynecologic Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic, Liver, Stomach) - Unit primarily cares for patients with a known cancer diagnosis needing surgical interventions - Nursing staff assist patients in achieving specific post-operative milestones for discharge - No Chemotherapy or Biotherapy administered on this unit - Chemo certification not required to apply **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
