Local Contract Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $62-68 per hour

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit

• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, nights

Unit Specifics:

·       Number of Beds: 25 bed

·       Type of equipment : GE Monitors, Hamilton Bipaps and Hiflows. Puritan ventilator, Hemospheres.

·       Documentation system: Meditech Expanse

·       Scheduling requirements: 12 shifts month (3 shifts a week). 4 weekend shifts Month. Department leadership completes the schedule around the RTO

·       Floating policy: Floating will be on a rotation basis with Travelers floating first

·       Patient Experience requirements: MyCare board are updated each shift during bedside shift report. Bedside shift report is completed at each change of shift

Hospital Specifics-

·       Certifications:

o   Comprehensive Stroke Center

o   Level 2 Trauma Center

o   Three Star STS Open Heart Program

Must have: · Strong Telemetry Skills · Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications · Chest tube experience · Past ICU experience Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Open Heart experience · Temporary pacing · Swan-Ganz Catheter experience Procedures performed on unit: · Intubation · Central line and arterial line placement · Chest tube placement Certifications Required: · ACLS · BLS
