All schedules consist of 12-hour shifts. This posting is for night-shift opportunities; however, final shift, schedule, and unit assignment are determined by the facility based on operational needs. Weekend and holiday rotation is required. Candidates must be flexible regarding their assigned schedule.
Position Overview
SpectrumACS, a division of American Correctional Solutions, is hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a local contract assignment at a state inpatient psychiatric facility in Pueblo, Colorado.
This facility provides care for adult forensic and civil behavioral health populations in a secure, team-based hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care in an inpatient setting
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Administer and monitor psychotropic medications
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Participate in MANDT crisis management and restraint training
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Maintain patient safety in a secure behavioral health environment
Requirements
- Active Colorado RN license
- Minimum 1 year of qualifying psychiatric or behavioral health RN experience within the last 5 years
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Experience in secure, forensic, correctional, or inpatient psychiatric settings preferred
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Candidates who have worked at CMHHIP within the previous 6 months are not currently eligible for this assignment
