Important Start Date Requirements

• Must start October 14. No exceptions.
• Must attend orientation October 14 and 15.
• Submission deadline: October 1.
• Credentialing must be completed by October 7, with October 9 as the latest possible clearance date.
• Credentialing takes approximately 2 weeks (10 business days).

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN Manager for a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. This role requires strong clinical leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to support patient care operations while maintaining compliance with California staffing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff.
• Promote safe, high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate staffing and patient care activities.
• Support interdisciplinary collaboration and effective communication.
• Ensure adherence to applicable clinical standards and California staffing guidelines.
• Float to departments within the nurse's scope of specialty as needed.

Unit Details

• 52-bed Medical-Surgical unit.
• Med-Surg/Telemetry patient population.
• Unit includes an ADA.
• Patient ratios follow California state guidelines.

Requirements

• Active California RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Fire Card required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Schedule & Time Off

• Shift: Days
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8s
• Weekly Hours: 40
• RTO: Up to 4 days may be approved.
• On-Call: None.
• Floating: May be required to other departments within the nurse's scope of specialty.

Credentialing

• Estimated timeline: 2 weeks (10 business days).
• Must be fully cleared by October 7, with October 9 as the absolute latest.
• Candidates with an expired California RN license must renew it.
• Candidates applying for a California RN license should contact their state senator's office for assistance with expediting the application.
