Apidel Technologies is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Akron, Ohio.
Position: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Akron, OH
Shift: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Possible alternate schedules: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional perioperative nursing care, collaborate with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team, and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical process. Circulating experience is required, while scrub experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assess, monitor, and advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Accurately document patient care and surgical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 18 months of recent Operating Room (OR) RN experience.
• OR circulator experience required.
• Scrub experience preferred.
• Active Ohio RN License or an active Compact (Multistate) RN License required at the time of submission.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• ACLS Certification (preferred if required by the facility)
