HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Margate, Florida.

General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
- Number of Beds: 7 beds
- Number of Staff: Varies on volume, clinical coordinator for all specialty service lines
- Type of Staff:
- Rooms are staffed with 1 tech 1 RN or 2 RNs
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Type of Equipment: Robotics, Spine, Vascular
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Call Requirements: On-call is required of 1-2 shifts during the week and 1 weekend shift per 4-week period. Must be able to Scrub and a circulator that knows all service lines. Rotating weekends are a possibility.
Typical Hiring Profile
Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)
- ACLS, BLS
- 2 years current experience in acute OR setting, ortho, spine and joint replacement experience
- Knee and Hip replacement experience
List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):
- Joint replacement, ENT, Ortho, Spine, Urology
- Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery and Plastic Surgery
Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently)
- PALS, CNOR any Charge experience
- RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of care of all patients
- proficient charting, multi-tasking, critical thinker, excellent bedside manner
Dress Code:
- OR scrubs provided by the unit

- 228 bed Joint Commission and designated top performing hospital since 1980
- Certified primary stroke center, Blue Distinction Stroke Center and specializing in surgical programs including Open Heart, 24 hour adult and pediatric ER, orthopedics, robotics, women’s services and rehabilitation
