Position Overview:
A healthcare organization is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to support a seasonal Vaccination Initiative in a retail healthcare setting. This patient-facing role focuses on administering CDC-recommended immunizations, performing clinical assessments, educating patients, and delivering safe, high-quality care during high-volume vaccination clinics.

- Position: Registered Nurse – Immunization Nurse (Float)
- Contract Duration: 08/23/2026 – 11/30/2026
- Location: Swarthmore, Pennsylvania
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
- Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer CDC-recommended vaccines including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, RSV, Tdap, Hepatitis A & B, Pneumococcal, Shingrix, HPV, Varicella, and other routine immunizations.
- Perform patient assessments to determine vaccine eligibility and identify contraindications.
- Review medical history, allergies, medications, and immunization records before vaccine administration.
- Administer medications and vaccines according to established clinical protocols.
- Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate nursing interventions when needed.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update immunization records.
- Follow infection prevention, vaccine storage, cold-chain management, and safety protocols.
- Support high-volume seasonal vaccination clinics while maintaining excellent patient service.
- Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience, including immunization/vaccination experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
- Strong medication administration and patient assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable administering vaccines to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Must not appear on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous vaccination experience in retail, outpatient, community health, or occupational health settings.
- Experience documenting within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Strong patient education and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Candidate questionnaire must accompany every submission.
- Flexible availability is required.
- Previous retail vaccination program experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be available to work the assigned schedule throughout the contract duration.
Must have a permanent residence within 35 minutes of drive from the Unit.
