Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a community-based vaccination initiative. In this patient-facing role, you will administer a wide range of CDC-recommended vaccines while delivering exceptional clinical care in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and committed to promoting public health through safe and efficient immunization practices.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer immunizations including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis A/B, Tdap, Shingles, Pneumococcal, HPV, and other CDC-recommended vaccines.
  • Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions following immunization.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of vaccinations in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and clinic staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain vaccine inventory and ensure proper storage and handling according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while creating a welcoming and supportive patient experience.
  • Remain flexible to meet business needs, including schedule adjustments when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization administration and direct patient care.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical skills in medication administration and vaccine delivery.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on operational needs.
  • High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
  • Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience administering high-volume immunization clinics.
  • Retail clinic, outpatient, urgent care, or public health experience.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Work Environment

  • Retail pharmacy clinic setting.
  • Fully onsite, patient-facing position.
  • PPE and required clinical supplies provided.
  • Fast-paced environment with a strong focus on patient safety and customer service.
