Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support a community-based vaccination initiative. This role is responsible for administering a wide range of immunizations while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, customer-focused, and committed to promoting public health through safe and effective vaccine administration.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer immunizations including but not limited to:
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • COVID-19
  • MMR
  • Hepatitis
  • Tdap
  • Shingles
  • Pneumococcal
  • RSV
  • HPV
  • Other CDC-recommended vaccines
• Perform patient assessments prior to vaccine administration.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions following immunization.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and vaccination records.
• Follow established infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Educate patients regarding vaccines, side effects, and post-vaccination care.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
• Maintain compliance with state nursing regulations and organizational policies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Adapt to changing workflows and community healthcare needs.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative healthcare team.
• Comfortable working in a patient-facing retail clinic environment.
• Flexible to work assigned schedule and operational needs.
• Must possess a verifiable High School Diploma/GED and nursing degree.
• Must not appear on any federal exclusion lists.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience administering high-volume vaccinations.
• Experience in retail clinics, ambulatory care, occupational health, or community health settings.
• Strong patient education and customer service skills.
