Schedule: Sunday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Flexible Scheduling Required)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse to support a community healthcare vaccination initiative in a retail pharmacy setting. The RN will be responsible for administering a variety of vaccines, including flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other immunizations, while providing safe, compassionate, and patient-focused care.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent patient interaction abilities, and the flexibility to work in a dynamic community healthcare environment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer vaccinations including flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other approved vaccines safely and efficiently.
  • Perform patient assessments and ensure proper vaccine administration procedures are followed.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccines, potential reactions, and post-vaccination care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of immunizations and patient information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
  • Follow all safety, compliance, and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced community healthcare environment.
  • Support team goals and contribute to a culture focused on quality care and patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where services are provided.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization/vaccination experience.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and vaccine delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to administer vaccines to patients of all ages.
  • Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in:
    • Retail healthcare clinics
    • Community health settings
    • Vaccination clinics
    • Urgent care or outpatient environments
  • Prior experience with mass immunization events.
  • Experience providing patient education and health counseling.
