Position Summary
CVS Health is seeking compassionate and patient-focused Registered Nurses to support its retail vaccination initiative. This patient-facing role is responsible for administering a variety of vaccines, educating patients, and ensuring safe, high-quality immunization services in a retail healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer immunizations including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other recommended vaccines.
- Perform medication administration in accordance with clinical guidelines and company protocols.
- Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions following administration.
- Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of vaccinations and patient encounters.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting positive health outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals.
- Adapt to changing patient volumes and operational needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Maintain compliance with all CVS Health clinical policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice or applicable compact state.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization and direct patient care.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
- Ability to administer vaccines confidently and safely.
- Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
Preferred Skills
- Previous immunization or vaccination clinic experience.
- Strong medication administration skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
