Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant – Erie, PA

St. Vincent Hospital | Erie, Pennsylvania

Join a well-established Cardiothoracic Surgery team at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. This locum opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule with a balanced call rotation and the chance to assist in a variety of cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.
 

Position Details

• Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant
• Location: Erie, Pennsylvania
• Facility: St. Vincent Hospital
• Setting: Outpatient
• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call:1:4 rotation (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• First assist in Cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Perform surgical closures
• Assist with vascular procedures
• Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management

Requirements

• Certified Physician Assistant
• Active Pennsylvania PA License
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• Active DEA
• Cardiothoracic Surgery experience required
• EVH experience strongly preferred/required
