Position Overview

Covenant Children's Hospital is seeking experienced Pediatric Surgery NPs and PAs for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. Providers must be comfortable managing inpatient pediatric surgical patients and participating in day coverage, night call, and weekend call responsibilities.

Emergency credentialing may be available for candidates with clean files, allowing for a potential August start.
 

Schedule

• Inpatient hospital coverage
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM onsite clinical shifts
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM night beeper call
• Weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call
• Flexible scheduling: 3–4 shifts per week or full-time coverage
• Guaranteed 12 hours per day
• Providers on call must be able to arrive at the hospital within 10 minutes
• Onsite call room available

Patient Population

• Pediatric patients only
• No adult patients
• Ages newborn through 16–17 years

Requirements

• Active state license
• Board Certified (BC)
• DEA required
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS/APLS certifications required
• Willingness to work nights and weekends

Credentialing Requirements
 

Preference will be given to providers with clean credentialing files, including:

• Clean NPDB report
• Clean malpractice history
• Clean background check
