Job Summary: Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Radiographer performs radiologic procedures to evaluate pathological entities as ordered by a physician. This role involves utilizing independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices. The Radiographer ensures optimal patient care, safety, and compliance with department protocols.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Must maintain the required hours of continued education.
Registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of hire).
Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in teaching or educating new hires and students.
Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems for imaging and study indexing.
Additional Information:
Work may involve exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients.
Occasional lifting or moving of equipment and/or patients exceeding 10 lbs.
Must demonstrate customer service values, including communication, teamwork, and respect.
