Recreational Therapist – NIH (GLC Government Services)   Long‑term government contract at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world’s largest biomedical research center. The NIH Clinical Center is a 200+ bed, state‑of‑the‑art facility dedicated exclusively to clinical research.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (no weekends/holidays)

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years recent clinical experience treating medically complex patients in a hospital setting
• Active NCTRC certification
• Current CPR certification

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, implement treatment plans, evaluate progress, and collaborate with NIH investigators on the role of Recreational Therapy
• Provide patient evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning to support health and well‑being
• Select and apply outcome measures to document functional results in clinical care and research
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Contribute to collaborative research program development and implementation
