JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Ortho Neuro Nursing Unit

Shift timing: 19:00-07:30 Hours Monday to Friday (3 Days/12 Hours)

Per Week: 36 Hours.

• We are a 39 bed Orthopedic/Spine Surgery and Trauma Department.
• Total Joint replacement program for total hips and knees. Other surgeries we frequently see are foot/ankle surgeries, amputations, total shoulder replacements, back/spine surgeries, hip fractures
• Level 1 trauma center therefore we also get complex ortho-trauma patients with multi-complex fractures.
• Our team consists of RNs, LPNs, and Techs.
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue and White EMR: Cerner

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg Neuro Trauma experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• Active unencumbered Oklahoma RN state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
