Job Summary:

Builds and maintains meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships with government entities, elected local, state, and federal officials by embodying world-class service, accountability and trust. Advocates for MTE and its members. Serves, in the context of the position, to fulfill the cooperative's strategic guideposts. Serves as a leadership example of the Ideal Team Player for the rest of the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Encompass the three virtues of the Ideal Team Player (Humble, Hungry & People Smart).
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college, with emphasis desirable in business, science, journalism, energy, public speaking, public administration or political science is required.
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience in progressively responsible positions, preferably in government relations and/or with an electric utility.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of accountability, integrity and adherence to rules and regulations.
  • Existing, positive relationships with local, state, and federal government officials desired.
  • Knowledge of local and state agencies, as well as knowledge of local governments' practices
