JOB DESCRIPTIONLocal Homeless Coalition CoordinatorOrganizational Relationship:Reports to: System Analysis DirectorSupervises: NAFLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Hourly rate: $18.00 (Full time)Last Revised: June 2026 Position Summary:Excellent benefits, PTO, and retirement options! The Local Homeless Coalition (LHC) Coordinator provides support and helps build collaborative groups working to address homelessness in their communities across the AR BoS. The LHC Coordinator also works closely with access points in each LHC to ensure the Coordinated Entry system is up to date and all agencies are trained and using the system according to CE Policies and Procedures. Duties and Responsibilities:Attend all BoS and LHC meetings either in person or via ZoomAttend and participate in CE committee meetingsAssist Director with:Housing gap analysisDevelopment of committees with strategic planningUpdates for social media and websiteInvolvement in Coordinated Entry and HMIS Training agencies in usage Maintain records of user agreements, training certification, and confidentiality to share information by all agencies using the systemAssist with oversight of annual PIT Count to include training and planningAssist with preparation of annual NOFODetermine assistance needed and agency invitations for each LHC within the BoSCoordinate all CE Point of Contact agencies with updates of information and changes Other duties as assigned by the System Analysis Director.Requires extensive travel across the Balance of State Continuum of Care (46 counties) Minimum Education and Experience:The LHC Coordinator will have a minimum of a High School Diploma with 2-3 years' experience working with persons in poverty and/or housing assistance, Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' experience. Bachelor Degree preferred Experience working with homeless and survivors of domestic abuseData entry experienceProficient in documentation and case filesMust have a valid driver's license, driver's insurance and pass all background checks and random drug screens Skills and Knowledge:Demonstrates knowledge of the target population of the program.Ability to supervise clients in an assertive and pleasant mannerAbility to role model appropriate personal hygiene and appearanceMust be motivated to work with multi-cultural clientsAbility to relate in a professional manner with and make connections with outside agencies for collaboration with OCYFSPractices excellent communication and organizational skills.Practices and models conflict resolution skills. Understands and model's cultural sensitivity to OCYFS's clients and families Agency Requirements:Must be able to pass initial and random drug screening and maintain annual TB card Must have a current Arkansas Driver's license and insurable under OCYFS's commercial vehicle insurance policy for those whose job requires provision of transportation.Must receive child maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry.Must receive adult maltreatment clearance through Arkansas Protective Services-Adult Maltreatment Central Registry.Must receive Arkansas State Police criminal background clearance as mandated by Arkansas Department of Human Services, Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies. Complete CPR/First aid and behavior management training when job requires working directly with clients in residenceMust attend and complete all staff development trainings as required by grantors and agencyMust participate in agency-wide PQI programMust maintain current licensing or certification for any position that requires such
