Local Reefer CDL-A Truck Driver | Home Daily | Avg $1,200–$1,400+/Week

We're hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a local refrigerated grocery fleet based in Shelbyville, Indiana. This position offers daily home time, competitive pay, paid orientation, excellent benefits, and a generous sign-on bonus.

Drivers will operate late-model automatic day cabs making local grocery deliveries throughout the region.

Pay & Compensation

• Average weekly earnings: $1,200–$1,400+
• Top drivers average approximately $1,700 per week
• Average annual earnings: Approximately $88,000–$90,000
• $0.90 per mile
• $20 stop pay
• $35 load pay
• Weekly direct deposit (Fridays)
• $0.05 CPM pay increase available after one year
• $20/hour detention pay after 2 hours

$7,500 Sign-On Bonus

Bonus paid over your first year:

• $1,000 after 2 weeks
• $1,000 after 60 days
• $1,250 after 6 months
• $1,750 after 9 months
• $2,500 after 12 months

Bonus eligibility is based on attendance, safety, and performance requirements.

Home Time & Schedule

• Home Daily
• Average 8-hour shifts
• Start times typically between 4:00 PM and 2:00 AM
• One weekend day off each week
• One floating weekday off during non-peak season

Job Details

• Local refrigerated grocery deliveries
• Average 1,600 miles per week
• Typically 1–2 stops per day
• Less than 150-mile average haul
• Driver unload using pallet jack with some hand unloading
• Modern refrigerated equipment

Equipment

• Late-model 2023+ Freightliner and International day cabs
• Automatic transmissions
• Outward-facing cameras only
• APUs/Inverters equipped
• Slip-seat operation
• Trucks remain at the terminal during home time

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must live within 60 miles of Shelbyville, IN
• Ability to perform pallet jack unloading with occasional hand unloads
• Must meet all DOT and company hiring requirements
