Job Description
Responsibilities
School CNAs provide students and staff health assistance under the professional guidance and supervision of the School Nurse and/or School Principal. CNAs provide first aid for injuries, record symptoms, administer doctor-approved medication, provide emergency care when necessary, and keep records of visitors to the nurse's office. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Follow medical protocol under the supervision of a nurse.
- Assist the classroom teacher with implementation of each student's Individual Education Program.
- Assist students in meeting self-help, health and behavior needs including toileting and personal care needs.
