Responsibilities
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) collaborate with other disciplines and develop appropriate interventions, treatment plans, and resident/caretaker education. The SLP evaluates and treats residents with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. SLP job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, care plans, and interdisciplinary interactions.
- Evaluate clients and develop a treatment plan that will meet their needs
- SLP observe and reassess client progress and prepare detailed reports accordingly
- Initiate diagnostic, preventive, and rehabilitative procedures as appropriate to the patient’s care and safety
