Local Tractor‑Trailer Operations Specialist (CDL‑A)

Location: Texarkana, AR

Pay: $20/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

A day in the driver’s seat

Roll in, grab your route, and conduct a thorough pre‑trip at the yard. By 7:00 AM you’re headed out on local runs around Texarkana—no overnights, home daily. You’ll load and unload using proper equipment, secure each load with care, and, when required, handle oversized moves in full compliance with regulations. You’ll communicate smoothly with dispatch and customers, log your work accurately, complete a post‑trip inspection, and finish the day around 4:00 PM.

Core responsibilities

• Operate CDL‑A tractor‑trailers safely and efficiently on local routes
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and safe techniques
• Secure cargo to prevent movement and damage during transport
• Pull and transport oversized loads as needed while following all rules and permits
• Complete thorough pre‑ and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation
• Comply with DOT regulations and all company safety policies
• Coordinate effectively with dispatch and provide courteous customer interactions

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
• 1+ year of CDL driving experience preferred
• Experience with—or willingness to learn—occasional oversized load handling
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety
