Job Overview
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 12-week contract assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The CNA will provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing environment, supporting residents with daily living activities and ensuring comfort, safety, and quality care throughout their shift.
This role requires reliability, compassion, and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team in a fast-paced long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Support patient mobility, transfers, and repositioning
Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
Accurately document care provided according to facility standards
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quality patient care
Requirements
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state equivalent accepted)
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 6 12 months experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Ability to work long daytime shifts consistently
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to assist with patient lifting, mobility, and transfers
Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and ADLs
Ability to follow care plans and facility protocols
