Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week contract assignment in St. Albans, Vermont. The LPN will provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing environment while supporting residents' health, safety, and overall well-being during overnight shifts.
This position is open to local candidates only and requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Every other weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nursing staff
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Assist with activities of daily living and patient support
Support wound care and routine nursing procedures
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Provide compassionate and patient-centered care
Requirements
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Vermont or eligible compact license
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility standards)
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred in skilled nursing or long-term care
Ability to work overnight shifts and every other weekend
Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation
