Job Requirements
Education Requirements:

  • Valid degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution

Certifications Requirements:

  • Georgia Respiratory License
  • NBRC (RRT/CRT) certification
  • BLS certification

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Experience with intubations and assisting with intubations
  • Experience with CPR and managing codes for infants to adults

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including 3x12-hour days or nights
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to rotating weekends and block scheduling

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized respiratory care and treatment to patients in a rural hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including ventilators and intubation tools.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately within EMR systems.
  • Execute emergency procedures, including CPR and assisting with codes for infants to adults.
