Job Requirements
Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in surgical technology preferred.

Certifications Requirements:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech Certification (strongly preferred).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience.
  • Prior experience in hospital settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterilization techniques.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work a day shift, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend shifts every other 3rd weekend.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare and organize instruments and supplies for procedures.
  • Maintain sterile field protocols and ensure adherence to infection control standards.
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during various surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment functions correctly.
  • Document surgical procedures, instrument counts, and patient information accurately.
  • Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing staff to facilitate smooth operative flow.
