ARTECHOUSE is seeking a Location General Manager to serve as the senior operational leader for our Washington, DC location. This role owns the full day-to-day success of the venue — from staffing and scheduling to facility and vendor relationships, operations budget and inventory oversight, and the seamless execution of programming, private events, and bar operations. The ideal candidate brings a background in theater, hospitality, or experiential/attraction operations, with a strong customer service foundation and the business acumen to run a multi-revenue-stream venueWHO YOU ARE:You are a business-minded operator who thrives on ownership. You've run the floor, managed an operations budget or P&L, and know what it takes to deliver a great guest experience while keeping a building running smoothly behind the scenes. You're equally comfortable managing a landlord relationship, coaching a team member through a tough shift, and supporting a private event client. You understand the rhythms of experiential, attraction, hospitality, or tourism-driven businesses — where visitor volume, seasonality, and event calendars all compete for the same space and staff. This is a hands-on, floor-present role. You spend most of your day walking the floor, interacting with guests, and coaching your team — not sitting behind a desk. You spot service gaps instantly by observing peak rushes, communication flow, and staff execution, and you're expected to work alongside your team and be available on weekends. You're a team player who works well cross-functionally, and you take real ownership over the success of your venue.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
