What youll do: Business & customer strategy

Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager and AG Advisors to develop market plans for new and existing customers Stay current on new agronomy products; oversee the retail store, fertilizer plant, and feed and seed warehouse Recommend strategic operational goals by gathering business, financial, service, and operations data; define objectives and evaluate outcomes Enforce customer service standards and resolve complaints; work with customers to promote improved products and expanded services

Financial & inventory management

Reconcile daily cash sales and credit card reports; perform bank deposits and bill customers for products or services Collect and credit customer accounts upon payment Manage inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and stocking seed, fertilizers, chemicals, general merchandise, and feed

Facility & equipment oversight

Manage and maintain proper working condition of vehicles, machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds Ensure equipment is cleaned regularly to prolong safe operation and promote a positive company image May perform general vehicle, machinery, and equipment maintenance and repairs Follow all company safety standards and comply with OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations

Chemical plant

Manage day-to-day operations and supervise an Operations Specialist or Custom Applicators assigned to the plant Monitor for chemical leaks or spills and manage cleanup and disposal Act as backup to prepare chemical mixes for producers when needed

Anhydrous ammonia station

Monitor for leaks or spillage and manage cleanup and disposal, contacting emergency management when directed by the Regional Manager Act as backup to complete anhydrous ammonia preparation and transfer for producers

Grain bin storage

Manage day-to-day operations of grain elevators, bins, and flat storage areas; direct and assign daily work to staff Manage inbound and outbound grain shipments, ensuring proper storage placement and monitoring space requirements Post daily grain prices; assist customers selling grain and notify the Grain Division Manager of all purchases Ensure proper weigh scale management and accurate ticket data; maintain high grain grade and quality standards Ensure bins are cleaned, swept, and treated with insecticide prior to filling; inspect grain regularly for temperature, mold, insect, or moisture issues Pull grain cores for quality inspection; blend, dry, aerate, cool, and relocate grain as needed to maximize economic return

What we are looking for:

Bachelors degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and agricultural experience Knowledge of operational management, business management, accounting, budgeting, project management, and quality management Strong judgment, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Proven mentoring and coaching experience with the ability to influence and engage direct reports, indirect reports, and peers Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Basic math skills including proportions, percentages, and volume; able to prepare and interpret spreadsheets and graphs Ability to safely operate company vehicles, machinery, and equipment Valid operators license and forklift certification required; CDL Class A with HazMat and Tanker endorsements preferred or obtainable within 60 days
