Operations Analyst Lockbox (Payment & Deposit Operations)

Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Analyst to support multiple functions within Lockbox Payment and Deposit Operations. This role focuses on process improvement, procedure development, testing, and data analysis, while partnering closely with Service and Support teams.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in process flows, data reporting, technology, and advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL (tables and queries). Experience in Lockbox and banking operations is a strong plus.


Key Responsibilities

Operational & Application Support

  • Provide operational support for Lockbox applications and related systems
  • Serve as the first point of contact for user inquiries and production issues
  • Perform issue tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution
  • Identify and implement preventative measures

Process Improvement & Testing

  • Create, edit, and maintain operational procedures and documentation
  • Develop and execute test scripts for application and process enhancements
  • Support process improvement initiatives and system changes

Business & Data Analysis

  • Conduct business analysis across payment and deposit applications
  • Work with systems including mainframe, distributed systems, databases, and web-based platforms
  • Extract and analyze data from multiple sources using complex SQL queries and joins
  • Develop insights to support strategic and operational decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate across business units to support Lockbox operations and initiatives

Service & Delivery

  • Deliver high-quality support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in an operations, analyst, or support environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and implement requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proven ability to analyze issues and drive resolution
  • Experience with Excel and database tools
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new systems and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 2 years of Operations Analyst experience
  • Experience in Lockbox and/or banking operations
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, data visualization)
  • Experience with SQL queries and large data sets
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar tools
  • Technical aptitude with Windows-based systems and applications
