Pay Rate: $18.00 $19.00/hour
Schedule: Sunday Thursday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Overtime: Mandatory overtime may be required
Duration: 1-month contract with anticipated extension

Overview

The Lockbox Machine Operator supports high-volume mail and payment processing operations by operating extraction, scanning, and mail-sorting equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while meeting established productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate mail sorting, extraction, and scanning equipment, including OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX Falcon, and OPEX MPS 40 systems.
• Receive, sort, prepare, and process incoming mail according to established procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify jams, misfeeds, or other operating issues.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate equipment issues when necessary.
• Complete assigned work within established production deadlines.
• Perform quality checks to ensure accurate mail and payment processing.
• Meet established productivity, accuracy, and quality performance metrics.
• Follow all operational, compliance, audit, and security procedures.
• Assist with general mailroom and lockbox processing functions as needed.
• Lift and carry trays of mail weighing approximately 10 15 pounds.
• Support a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 3 years of experience in a lockbox, mailroom, production, or similar high-volume processing environment preferred, but not required.
• Experience operating OPEX Falcon, OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX MPS 40, or similar mail extraction, sorting, or scanning equipment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and production requirements.
• Dependable and team-oriented.
