We're seeking a talented and highly motivated Locomotion Engineer to support the robotics department at our offices in Barcelona. This is a full-time job.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and extend existing locomotion algorithms for our Keyper robot, ensuring robust navigation across various terrains.
- Create algorithms that enhance the robot's locomotion capabilities through improved perception.
- Drive improvements in our simulators to accurately model real-world robot behavior.
- Apply system identification techniques to refine locomotion algorithms.
- Design and implement reinforcement learning controllers for tasks beyond basic locomotion.
- Thoroughly test all locomotion stacks to ensure robustness and reliability.
Your Profile:
- Minimum of an MS or Ph.D. in robotics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Areas of expertise may include Robot Locomotion, Model Predictive Control, Mathematical Optimization, Simulation, Dynamics, or Reinforcement Learning.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in C++ development and ROS1.
- Proficiency in technical areas such as mathematical optimization, reinforcement learning, robot locomotion, and practical experience with real hardware.
- Experience in a fast-paced software development environment using Git, unit testing and gdb, while adhering to rigorous documentation and testing standards.
