Facility Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a dedicated anesthesiology team within a Level 1 trauma center located in Detroit, Michigan. This temporary position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment, offering flexible day shift options of 8, 10, or 12 hours while ensuring comprehensive anesthesia care across various surgical procedures. Job Responsibilities:
Deliver anesthesia care for a range of inpatient surgical procedures, including general surgery and neurosurgical cases.
Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff, including RNs and surgical technologists.
Provide preoperative assessments and patient education.
Administer anesthetics safely and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures.
Manage ventilation and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia.
Respond to patient emergencies in coordination with the healthcare team.
Document patient care and anesthesia management accurately in Epic EMR.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Work day shifts only (8, 10, or 12 hours) with no on-call or weekend requirements.
Qualifications:
Must have current NBCRNA certification.
Active Michigan RN License (required prior to presentation).
Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA).
Clean malpractice and license history.
Must be able to work full-time; willingness to work variable day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours).
Previous experience as a CRNA; new graduate candidates will not be considered.
